Work with moderators?

I as Admin am currently the only person on this forum with moderator rights.

I'm asking to all members if we should add moderators or leave it as is.

In case you want moderators to be added, how exactly should they be selected?

It's your idea and your forum. I don't think there's a need for more moderators yet.

Should the posts increase in a way that they're impossible to manage for you or should you stop accessing the forums for whatever reason, then it can be a good idea to add more moderators.

In that case, I'd suggest requesting volunteers that you'd have to accept (preferrably people you know and trust, but always someone who has access to this forums fluently -at very least in a daily basis-).

I agree as well. I check discogs daily, even if it's just to browse, so I keep up on all the shit that's going on. Thanks too pano4423_004!

If the place becomes really big, you'll need some moderators but at the moment i don't think so.

I voted No some time ago, but things are getting more active here since discogs V4 was announced. If this expasion continues, it will probably become too much for 1 person to handle. But I feel that, if we decide to add moderators, it should be only to move topics to the right sub-forum, split off specific discussions into a seperate topic, etc., and not to delete or censor any posts.

In the end, dmaxx should know if he can manage everything, he's definitely done a great job so far. If he feels he can use some help, I'd gladly help out, and I'm sure others will too.

seeing the result after voting, i think the question is misleading since the topic lets you think if the database shoudl be moderated

And the question is an old one, prior to the implementation of v4, and the resulting rush of users into the site.
