| The most important thing is to keep the forum active! I've already seen too many potentially good forums die at Discogs becuase no posts were made.
This forum already has 35 members which is more than enough if we just use it. More people will also join if something interesting is posted here.
So how the forum looks like is less important than the forum activity. Let's make it a habit to check it at least once a day!

The good thing is I have invited 50, maybe 60 Oggers yet, so there's a lot potential to grow. I will contact more people the next few days.

| I must once more stress that we must use this forum to keep it alive! Technically it's just as good now or even better (as it has polls) than the Discogs forum system, but the drop in the number of posts since the first two days is alarming.
No posts = the forum dies!
That would be a pitty as the potential of this forum is great.

| Is the current forum structure good?
- about - discogs discussion
Or should I change or add categories?

| I think, for right now, the current structure is good enough. If out of the discussion additional forum requirements surface, they can be added later on. | |

Yes! I don't think you need to change anything at this point. The only thing the forum needs now are active forum users.

Yes! I don't think you need to change anything at this point. The only thing the forum needs now are active forum users. Is it a duplicate post or is the post made on purpose???A lot of people need to visit the forum, a few need to post something, a lot of people need to read something and a few must answer in the posted threads. Otherwise the forum dies! It's that simple and I'm sad to say that this forum is dying now! It's not too late yet though!

| At this point anything creative is great as many coggers just created a log in and then left after browsing the forum just once :-( | |

| I dig the new forum, but I for one like the stripped-down minimalism of Discogs (minus the annoying "group" mess), with fluffy details and cute pictures on our personal pages instead of as avatars, but that's just me. And to be honest, as long as the forum stays alive, I'll be happy. The rest is just icing. | |

| I'm one for minimalism as well. Avatars, birthdays etc. to->the profile page for those who want that. That's my preference, but I can live with this.
I think the forum is coming alive. I for one, just had to catch my breath after March 10th. I have given this site a lot of thoughts since I joined this sunday (though not contributed a lot yet), - today three days later already 50 more have joined. I think, when people have recovered from the great V4-depression, we'll get this thing going.
Worst thinkable scenario right now : Kevin rolls back to V3, some returns, some don't, Discogs doesn't become more a community for that, but some will be deluded to think so. Let's hope Kevin keeps being stubbern.

| Now that I have an avatar, I can't ask for those to go away =)
But my one request. Can we get links to appear like "normal" links? I've seen bold, red and [bracketed] text to indicate links, as the link text looks the same as non-link text. That's all =)

| The problem is that the style settings don't make any difference between posted messages and forum design... | |

| Hurray, found a difference: class "postbody" in CSS.
Added this in the forum CSS code:
.postbody a { color : #0000ff; }
which means links in messages will be shown in blue from now on. Cheers!

| Yes. 30 posts per page perhaps would be more comftable. And a longer login period, if possible (i don't usually check those 'keep me logged in' boxes on any website). | |

| I think it's fine at 15 but personally have no objection with a higher page content. I don't think it really needs to be changed, looks compact and easy to navigate just as it is. I'm comfortable pressing the 'next page' arrow at the bottom of the page, not to exhausting | |
