My Availability

Hey guys I have been looking over my availability in the coming weeks and it appears my schedule is going to be pretty tight.

I have a lot of respect for the DDB project and I truly do not think it is appropiate for me to occupy a seat on the SC if I do not have the time to be a full participant. Especially, when there are others that do have the time and enthusiasm to put forth into the project.

The last thing this project needs is dead weight. So, if there are others available I am willing to step down to make way for them. That been said, I would not be comfortable just "abandoning" the project either. So, on the outside chance that no one was available to step up I would be happy to remain as part of the SC and participate when and where I can.

How long is "the coming weeks?" I don't think we really should have all that much turn-over within this first SC, and we've already had one person resign, and lazlo_nibble has been absent for a few weeks.

No, if you are able to participate at all then I say stay...your input is valuable. Many of us have tight time constraiants

Regarding my own availability, I'm away for a short holiday coming week, and I'll be back somewhere on May 9th

ok I am willing to hang in there. I was just concerned about being dead weight and taking up a spot that might be better used.

But, no problem if you guys don't mind my spotty involvement for a little while.

If there are several days where we are pressed for time, such is life - we all have lives outside of this project, and those lives come first...

(speaking of which, due to a work-related function I cannot be online tomorrow afternoon...)

Ditto - a few busy days or even weeks is nothing to really stress about, because we haven't given ourselves any strict deadlines, and some progress is being made.

Also, it looks like I won't be in on the Saturday sessions for the next few weeks, but I'll be reading the discussions afterwards and commenting.
